Selina Zhang

Webmaster

Hi! I'm Selina (she/her), a high school senior from the Lower Mainland area of BC. I plan to go into a CS major in university. I've been a part of the YME team since 2024, and was serving on the outreach team prior to this role. I am very passionate about tech and coding/developing software and websites, which is why I love this webmaster role. I'm also a big volunteer and animal lover. In my spare time, I love traveling around the world and doing photography. Additionally, I play many sports such as skiing, horseback riding and playing badminton. I love the mission of YME and enjoys working with all the wonderful people in the organization!

moneshwar ragouraman

Head Director of Media

Hello! My name is Moneshwar and I am someone who’s always drawn to creativity and storytelling. With a deep interest in marketing and the different paths it offers, I love exploring content creation, social media trends, and ways to connect with audiences on a personal level. Outside the digital world, you’ll often find me immersed in true crime stories, basketball, discovering new music, or working on video projects that capture moments in unique ways. For me, it’s all about connecting people through stories, both big and small.

Amreen rooprai

Talk Buddies Program Intake Coordinator

Hello! I’m Amreen (she/her), and I immigrated from India to Canada in 2022. During my grades 11 and 12 here, I dived into all sorts of experiences - tutoring peers, wrangling costumes backstage, delivering daily announcements, and even representing my school on a national level. After high school, I wanted to keep that momentum going. That's when I discovered YME and their remarkable vision to ensure every student, regardless of their background or circumstance, has access to personalized educational support. Next thing you know, I applied, interviewed, and was thrilled to be chosen as their Talk Buddies Program Intake Coordinator. The team has been incredibly welcoming and supportive ever since, and I’m excited to help bring their vision to life! On a more personal note, I am immensely passionate about music, books, cinema, and going on nature walks when time and weather allow :)

I am very passionate about supporting others through my writing and I hope to create more engaging, useful blogs in our team this year! In my spare time, I love making art, reading, and playing badminton.
